The Na Knížecí building is the first office building of the Smíchov City – Sever project. It is located in an exclusive corner position, forming the main frontage of the newly created space and the new urban quarter.
The entrance lobby with 24/7 reception is generously elevated over 2 floors. The reception area is framed by a staircase, entrance turnstiles in front of the service elevators, and an entrance to the courtyard with a garden. The whole space has acquired an industrial character.
The lobby is dominated by an elevated reception desk, which was custom-made by Frajt according to the design of the A69-architects studio (architect Martin Hoecke). The reception desk has a circular ground plan and a conical shape.
Smíchov City is a project that honours the principles of a traditionally growing city. It is a place where you can live, work and spend your leisure time actively. The wheelhouse of the modern Na Knížecí office building fits perfectly into this concept.
The black surface is made of a special high gloss material. The countertop is made of artificial stone, hiding built-in lighting – LED strips. The conical shape serves to optimally clamp the Carl-Stahl view net, which also appears in the ceiling in the surrounding space. All cabling remains hidden in the supporting structure or under the floor.
